Truss is out but British humour carries on

The shortest serving U.K. Prime Minister tendered her resignation today, and now begins another round within the Conservative Party to find the third Prime Minister in as many months.

Opposition parties and the general public are calling for an Election, stating the Conservative Party has lost all confidence. This comes after the descent of chaos in the Commons yesterday after the fracking vote with resignations and yelling in the halls.

Despite the fact that the country is in absolute shambles, British humor carries on. There was no shortage of fantastic humor on social media, including a competition begun last week to see who would last longer: Truss, or a head of lettuce.

It remains to be seen what happens next. I imagine the British people are tiring of the number of "historic days" they've had since the dawn of Brexit and are hopeful for some stability in the system.
