Queen moves from Holyroodhouse to St. Giles Cathedral

Queen Elizabeth II’s casket was moved from Holyroodhouse to St. Giles Cathedral today where the Queen will stay until tomorrow. King Charles led the royal procession behind the casket as it made it's final journey down the royal mile.

A service was held in St. Giles' Cathedral and led by Reverend Calum MacLeod after which began a 24 hour vigil. In the evening, Senior royals took part in the vigil, standing guard at the four corners of the casket.

King Charles also had an audience with Nicola Sturgeon and addressed the Scottish Parliament, where a motion of condolence was delivered by the Scottish Parliament.

Today is D+03 in the Operation London Bridge plan, which began when the Queen passed away on the 8th of September.

I have to say, the music is so beautiful in the video below as Queen Elizabeth II's coffin is taken into St. Giles'. Please take a moment to watch if you haven't already.
