The Queen made her final journey from Balmoral today to Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh where she will lie in the Throne room until tomorrow when she is moved to St. Giles' Cathedral. She departed Balmoral at 10:07 AM BST, and travelled 280 km and 6 hours through the Scottish countryside.
The Queen's oak coffin is draped in the Royal Standard of Scotland, which can only be used by her, as the Royal Standard is Senior to the Union Flag. There was also a white wreath of flowers grown on the Balmoral estate.
